Where to exchange money
Use official bank branches or exchange booths in shopping centers. Never change money on the street — it's illegal and you'll get scammed.
Cards vs cash
Visa and Mastercard work at hotels, upscale restaurants and modern shops. Bazaars, taxis and small cafes are cash-only. Always carry Sum.
ATMs
ATMs at Kapitalbank, Ipoteka Bank and TBC dispense USD and UZS. Daily limits are usually $300–500.
